Severe weather alerts fire before standard NWS warnings using radar pattern recognition. Geofencing targets notifications to user-defined zones.

WeatherEdge monitors NWS feeds, radar data, and mesoscale models to detect severe weather threats before standard alerts reach the public. The system processes tornado watches, severe thunderstorm warnings, flash flood advisories, and winter storm warnings. Geofencing lets users define zones of interest (property portfolios, job sites, event venues, fleet routes). When a severe weather polygon intersects a user geofence, an immediate push notification fires with threat type, timing, confidence, and recommended action. Lead time is the differentiator. Standard NWS tornado warnings average 13 minutes lead time. WeatherEdge pattern recognition on radar signatures can flag rotation 5-10 minutes before NWS issues the official warning. Historical storm tracking logs every alert, actual outcome, and user response. False alarm rate target: below 15%.
