Getting Started — Your First Search
How to run your first patent lead search and understand results.
Your First Search.
Step 1: Log In.
Go to your PatentReach dashboard. Enter your credentials.
Step 2: Set Your Filters.
- State. Select target states where you operate or are licensed.
- Filing Type. Utility, Design, or Plant patents.
- Pro Se Only. Toggle on to see only unrepresented filers — these are your hottest leads.
- Date Range. Recent filings (last 30-90 days) are most actionable.
Step 3: Review Results.
Each result shows: inventor name, filing date, patent class, state, pro se status, and a lead score (0-100). Higher scores mean higher likelihood of needing services.
Step 4: Add to Outreach.
Click any lead to view full details. Click Add to Sequence to start automated outreach.
